Planning a visit? Here is what you can expect!
Please do not worry about what to wear,
for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. When you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress. While a few people in the church wear ties, others like to remind them that Jesus never wore a tie. Shorts are as welcome as suits, and you'll see both.
When you walk in,
visit our Connect Center. It is stationed in the front foyer as soon as you walk in. The members of our Connect Team will be there to serve free coffee and doughnuts every Sunday morning from 10:15 AM - 10:30 AM. The Connect Center is the perfect place to find out all there is to know about our church. The Connect Team will also be handing out Bulletins and Connect Cards to new visitors. Please fill out the Connect Card and return it to the Connect Center before you leave. The Connect Team will be waiting to give you a gift as a way of saying thanks for visiting us today.
During the service,
relax. God loves you and we are happy you are here. Our Sunday service starts at 10:30 AM and will usually end around 11:30 AM. We rejoice that God calls us to worship Him as a family every Sunday. We gather to share in the Lord's Supper, support the work of His kingdom by giving, sing His praises, and hear a relevant message rooted in Scripture. We close each service with an invitation and a closing prayer.
For those with kids,
we offer ministry opportunities from newborn to 4th grade. During our Sunday morning worship service, we invite you and your children to join us in worshiping God. Before our Lead Minister begins his message, he will dismiss the Kid's Leaders. At this time, all children are invited to attend our ministry opportunities. If you would like for your kids to stay with you doing the service, you are welcome to do that as well. If you have more questions or would like to get connected with our kid's ministries, the Connect Center will be open to assist you with anything you need.
Our church is located at 1204 Pin Oak Drive Carterville, IL 62918, and parking is in front of the church.
If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, feel free to use one of the spots closest to the door. We like to keep them free for visitors and people who need assistance.
